Two great weeks

Finally, a new post. There was recently a Faroese Invasion here in TX, which left very little time for blogging. We had a great time, while all the visitors were here. After most of them left, we have had to sort only 2000 photos, before even thinking about posting them. There is a lot to tell and write about, but we will let the photos speak for themselves.

Flying kites

We went over to grandma and granddad on Sunday to visit. I really looked forward to seeing them and kept asking for them in the car. We had lunch and ate burgers and home grown tomatoes. They had bought Chicken Nuggets just for me, but I didn't touch them. I wanted everything else on the table.

Abbi and omma, as I like to call them, had bought a couple of kites and since it was windy outside, we headed down to the park to try them out. Babba and I worked on one kite.It flew all the way up to the clouds....
Mamma and I tried to get Elmo airborne, but that was a different story. The Elmo kite was inflatable and it had a tiny hole in it, so it only worked for a few minutes and then fell down to the ground.Admiring babba'a kite. Omma is holding on to Elmo, who finally gave up flying.
After around 4 minutes of kite excitement, I wanted to move on the the swings and of course, only abbi was allowed to push me.What a great Sunday.

A Day of Golf

I woke up this morning in a good mood and just felt like staying at home; but actually I talked baba into taking me golfing again. I also have two new clubs, a 1 wood driver and putter. They are real, not plastic. Below is some pictures of me with my red driver.

Baba has also been helping me in the mechanics of my swing. Some day soon I will be able to hit the ball as far as Tiger Woods.

Tuck and Tumble

At daycare, every Thursday is Tuck and Tumble day. Tuck and Tumble is my gymnastics class. My last class was last week, because the teachers are going on their summer vacation. So, to celebrate and show off our newly mastered skills, we did a show for our parents. From our class we were: Emma, John, I and Ryan. First, we introduced ourselves. Then we did rolls, bridges and bunny jumps (unfortunately, the camera locked a few times and therefore no photos of my bridge)Yyyeeeaaahhhh!!.... We were all awarded medals for our achievements. My strongest achievement was the Eagle Roll (?)
John and I with our medals. My very first medal...
What a piece of art!!!

Moody Garden weekend

zAgain this weekend could I not wait to get up and play. I woke up at 6.30am and made sure to wake up everyone else immediately. It took some time for mamma and babba to wake up. I really don't get how it can take someone that long to wake up? I am always ready to go from the minute, I open my eyes. We sat down to have breakfast and talked about plans for the weekend. Since it was a beautiful day, we ended up packing out suitcases and headed south towards Galveston.

We arrived at our hotel at 11am and our room was not ready, so we changed into our bathing suits and headed down to Palm Beach. This is like a family, beach resort area with white sand, umbrellas, pools and slides. I thought I had come to Heaven! The slides were fun. The red slide was my favorite and I could not get enough of it!
Cheese....... When you are done taking all those pictures, I want to get back to playing in the water.
The people from the hotel finally called us to let us know, the room was ready for us. We got our suitcases and headed over to check in. I had my own suitcase with my clothes and stuff and I was the only one allowed to roll it.
Mamma and babba figured, I must be getting really tired and was ready for a nap. Well, helloo! We are on a vacation!!! I don't have to sleep..... at all! So, we headed over to the Rainforest Café. It was just like sitting in a rainforest with alive animals and thunder and lightning. I didn't like the moving gorillas at first, but I grew to like them and at the end of our visit could not get my eyes off them. Mamma could not make eye contact with me for this picture..... I was looking at a gorilla right behind her. There was a lot of food and we ended up bringing the desert home. It was only one piece of cake, but it was plenty for all of us.
We headed back out to the pool. This time, we hit the hotel pool. There were lots of other kids and entertainment. After a lot of swimming, we took a break to roast some marshmallows and enjoy s'mores.
I got to jump around in an inflatable pirate cove all by myself...yeah!!
Live music started early in the evening and I made a B-line for some chairs right in front of the stage. I kicked back and enjoyed the music. At one point, I decided to dance, but got a little shy, when everyone was looking at me.
Enough dry land, I wanted to get back into the water. I am sure, you understand, when you see this picture of the pool.We played in the pool all the way until dark. Babba and I practiced jumping out of the water. I made a big splash when I hit the water!!!Future football player...see my broad shoulders...It's a shame this picture does not show my ripped and tanned body :) We headed up to our room past 9pm. Mamma and I tucked in and I was out like a light.
Sunday morning, I slept in until 8am (yeah!!) We had breakfast and made one last trip down to Palm Beach.
We played in the water until noon and then packed our bags and headed home. What a super weekend. Now, I am really looking forward to all the Faroese visitors. I am sure, we will be able to on trips like this one and just have a great time!!! .... Can't wait to see you guys!!
