Visiting the parks

I was full of energy (and sugar) when we returned from the kolache place (see blog below). For a start, I got my hammer and a couple of other tools and walked around our neighborhood and made some repairs. When I was done, mom and I went out on a second bike ride. Dad is going to work on another boat and he is going to be the boss of some people. He had received a lot of stuff to read up on for this new job. Which I don't under stand??? I am the boss at our house and I don't have to study for that - it comes very natural! All I have to do is point and either shake my head "no" or nod and mission accomplished! Oh, well.... I didn't want mom to run around and interrupt his studies and so, I took her our bike riding.
There are many bigger and smaller parts around our house and we managed to visit most of them. One of the parks had a little yellow horse and it matched perfectly with my handball outfit. We brought juice and some crackers to the park and when we were done eating, I threw away the plastic wrapper. If I had it all my way today, I would have cleaned up the entire park. I love to pick up trash and throw it away. It's confusing though: If I do it at home, I get praised. If I attempt to do it at the park, I get the: "No, no, no"?? Oh, well.... I have given up on understanding the grown ups...
At the park by the school, a family played baseball and they brought their little dog.
I try to watch and learn about baseball. I didn't get to play, but helped to pick up a few stray base balls and I brought them back to the big boy.
Here is my out door class room. My first day at school!!
The weather was great this weekend. After running around for a while, I got really warm and ended up taking my shirt off.
After some Football, I had to rest and stretch.
We had a good time, but decided to go back home and enjoy the AC......

Donuts

It does not matter how hard you try to convince me to sleep in late in the mornings. I want to get out of bed early and get busy - the minute I wake up. I don't have time to sleep in, there is too much to see and do. I still prefer to wake up really early on Saturdays and Sundays. At 7am, I am dressed and ready to go outside an play.I know how the world works. I grab the keys and unlock the door. Actually, the car key is pretty handy, it is a universal key and works on all locks. Now, I just have to learn how to turn the door knob.
Well...... are you coming?????..........
Half way there..... I made it out into the garage. Unfortunately, I am still too short to reach the garage opener. You all just wait until I can reach that button!
Finally!!!... We pulled out the bikes and my buggy and headed over to the local kolache place.
Mmmmmm.... doughnuts..... It's worth it every time!!!

Playing in the back yard

I love to play in the back yard. I run around and play peek a boo behind all the trees and then I run around in circles, until I get dizzy and fall over:)
Dad likes to water our lawn. The first time, I saw the water beam, I was so fascinated and ran right into it. Of course, I was soaked instantly. Dad laughed, but I didn't find it funny at all. After putting on some dry clothes, I felt better and headed outside again. I still like to watch the water beam, but now, I know to keep my distance.

Spring cleaning

We cleaned the house on Saturday. I pitched in and decided the kitchen cabinets needed a good cleaning and needed to be straightened out...

Big boy bed

Lately, I have not been sleeping well at all, I don't know why. Often, an arm or leg gets stuck in between the bars in my crib. So, I am now on a trial period: Sleeping in my big boy bed. We changed my bed from a crib to a real bed. I was so excited and crawled into it right away and played in it too. I hope this will help me sleep at little better. I would love to keep my big boy bed.
I have not fallen out of the bed yet, hurray for me. OK, I do admit, there is a board on my bed and it helps me stay in bed, even if I roll around. I know how to climb out of bed. There have been several occasions, when I pretend to be asleep and right after mom or dad leave the room, I run behind them with a big grin on my face. Ha ha!! During the night, we have night lights from my room into mom's and dad's room - just in case. But, so far, I have stayed in my bed at night.

Yard, wagon and lawn chairs

Hi,

Here are a few photos from this week. Dad and I did some yard work and see the result!
Here we are, the boy and his dog and I with my rabbit ears:)
Usually, after dinner, we all go outside to enjoy the evening and play. We all have a lawn chair, so we can take a break and enjoy an Oreo cookie. When ever I get the chance to, I run off with dad's beer and manage to get a sip out of it. I am still not sure if I like it or not.
I also got this cool wagon. It's big enough for two and is has a bunch of cup holders too:) Yesterday, a lot of kids came over to play with me and my new wagon.
Cool, don't you think?
All the other kids around our house are a little bigger than me, but down the street, there are a couple of boys around my age. Today, we walked down there to play with them and they own a lot of toys too.
Eventually, it got late and we had to go inside. We folded our chairs and carried them inside. My chair can be folded in to a back pack. It's still a little heavy to carry.
Good night!

A great weekend

This weekend, I got to spend the night at my grandparents and I had a blast. I didn't go to bed until late and I slept in too. I got to go outside and play baseball and prepare for my career with the Astros.
I have also been working out, see my big muscles.
They say, you learn something new every day - and I did. I learned an important lesson: I now know where grandma's and granddad's snacks are!!.
On Saturday, mom and dad came to pick me up. Before we went home, we went out for a light lunch - all of us.
In the end, I had to give in and fell asleep in the car on the way home. I had a lot of fun at my grandparents.
After nap, we went for a walk and made our way down to an ice cream place. they make the ice cream and put all kind of candy in it. Mmm, I loved the cone and the candy in the ice.
On our way out, I tried to throw away this napkin. The trashcan was a little tall for me, but after a few throws, the napkin went in!We passed this park on our way back home and decided to try out the slide. I climbed all the way up and went down the slide, all by myself... no problem and I am not scared.
There was so much to see at the part and when I was not on the big slide, I was running around and pointing at all the things, I wanted to see.
The park is right next to a school and in a corner of the part, they have created a natural area and there were benches and a desk for the teacher. I would love to go to this school. Imagine, a classroom outside... I could be outdoors all day long!
What a great weekend. Hope to do this all over again soon

A day with Dad

I got to stay at home with dad today. He had a lot of work to do in the yard and needed help, so I stayed at home to help out. I put on my work clothes and we headed over to Lowe's for flowers and dirt.
When we got what we needed at Lowe's, we headed over to McDonald's. I ate a lot and when we were done eating, I hit the play area.
I walked and crawled through all the colorful pipes and played hide and seek with dad.
And I tried the slide. Finally, we headed back home. We had a lot of work ahead of us. I helped out spreading the dirt and I planted flowers in a pot - all by myself.
When we were done, I had dirt all over and had to change clothes. Later, mom came home and we had dinner. I am doing really well. I put my plate and cup on the table and when we are done eating, I bring my dirty plate and cup back over to the sink. Sometimes, I also put the dressings and drinks back into the fridge. When dad goes back to work, I will be the man of the house!

Feeling Better

Hi, I am no longer ill. At least I am well enough to update my blog. Last Saturday, all of a sudden I felt really warm and I just wanted to sleep and rest. When the fever wouldn't go down, we went to see the doctor. He said I had tonsillitis and just had to rest and keep my fever down. But a couple of days later, the fever was still very high and I slept all day and night and didn't want to eat at all. One evening, it got really bad and we went to the ER. But the wait was many hours and it was nasty there and we went back home. I felt so bad and just wanted to get better. I tried flexing my muscles, but that didn't help either.
The next morning we went back to the doctor and after all kinds of tests and x-rays, she said, i have pneumonia again. After I started on my medication, I felt better and wanted to get out of bed and play with my toys. It is no fun always being ill and I hope all this passes soon. All I want is to go outside and play.
This morning, I slept in and when I woke up, dad was already outside in the yard. I enjoyed watching dad working outside the bedroom window. I like to watch and learn, because one day, I'll have my own yard to tend to.Teddy was also awake and we decided to keep each other company.
I had to take a bath this morning. Luckily, the bath was full of bubbles and so was I. I guess this is what I will look like when I become an old man.... I can even be Santa!
Ha ha, silly me!!
Later in the day, we went over to grandma and granddad for a family get together. I was supposed to be at home and rest. Yeah, right: I am not good at resting and staying inside all day. I was well enough to go and I really enjoyed the company of my other cousins.
Granddad made the food and it was good. It was also Kaitlin's birthday and she got lots of presents. In the end, I got really tired and just wanted to go home. But, I did have a great time!
