Goldfish and butterflies

When mom and I were done for the week and the weekend had started, rather than going straight home, we decided to make a special evening out of it. First, we went to a Mexican restaurant. We had tacos, nachos, drew and made hats out of my menu. I was a big boy and sat in my chair all the time. After dinner, we headed over to a construction site, right across the street from the restaurant. I didn't find any excavators, but found other equipment instead. I made sure to walk over to every one of the machines to take a closer look at them.
Guess what??? We also went to the pet store and got a little glass bowl and three gold fish. First, we rinsed the bowl, sand and rock. Then we filled the bowl up with water and released the fish. They felt right at home.
I have checked on the fish numerous times today and I have also fed them many times - not as often as I would like to, though. I really love watching my new pets and the best part is: They are my fish! This morning, after taking care of the yard, we were filthy and hungry. The only solution was to grab a breakfast bar and fill up the kitchen sink. Perfect!!
We receive a lot of stickers in the mail today and they turned out to be a lot of fun. I decorated my and mom's legs with all the stickers! It's as if we have all these tattoos on our legs!

And, here is a photo from today. We went out on a long walk and passed up all these beautiful flowers and butterflies. I loved to watch the butterflies flutter around us and the colorful flowers.

Ben the Builder

I am a very good helper at home. I am the man of the house and I like to repair things around the house.
I am not that interested in reading books or watching TV, I prefer to play outside. But, when it is dark outside and it is time for bed, I like to get some warm milk and look for construction equipment videos on YouTube. I love to watch all the excavators, cranes, trucks and so on.

At Kemah with grandma and granddad (part 2)

Here is the rest of our Kemah trip. The last email from granddad ended up in our spam folder, so when we posted our first Kemah post, I didn't know the last part of the trip was missing.

So: Kemah part 2. Written by Granddad:

Then we were going back to the rides when we saw these ducks being fed by people, when we stopped to look I saw all these fish trying to catch the ducks food that they dropped...WOW
Then my favorite, the merry-go-round
I had time to figure how it worked
Then the planes

Then the Ferris wheel, I don't think I've done this before

Then it was time to go back to Grandma's house, boy was I tired

At Kemah with Grandma and Granddad

(Granddad and I wrote this blog)

Friday I went to the school and played in the kiddie park, swings, slides, tunnels and even little rocks I could throw. I was so tired when I got back that I slept 11 1/2 hours....
Then the BIG Saturday...
Took Grandma to Baybrook Mall to get her hair cut. Granddad took me around the mall in the little red car 3 times, then Toys-R-Us, then off to Kemah Boardwalk. We went to ride the speed boat but it was out at the time, so we rode the train and went back.

I saw a lot of boats.....

Our turn to leave, it was fun.....at first

Then the boat went real fast, turning and spraying water all over us so I grabbed Grandma who was closer to the middle of the boat for safety
This girl on the boat just kept dancing.....
Then back to Kemah...I had had enough fun on that boat

Then it was time for some good Mexican food...I loved the rice!
I got to see this black bird fly onto the next table and steal a bag of sugar...
It took the sugar out to the boardwalk, pulled it open and ate the sugar...

Car wash

Yesterday, mom and I decided to wash the car. The car needed it and the weather was so nice. Needless to say, I was in charge of the water hose. I managed to spray down one of the car tires, but then got distracted and started watering things around me, incl. mom. Ha ha, she was soaked! The tree got some water too. I think the only thing that never really got watered was the car itself.Mom and I had our "water wars" through out the car wash. We had a water hose each and we tried to spray down each other. I laughed, when I hit her - but I was not exactly happy when I was hit. When we were finally done washing the car (over an hour later) and it was clean and dry... well, I could not help myself, but got the water hose and sprayed it down one more time. Of course, before we went inside, I had to take off my clothes and hang them up to dry out in the garage. The day just isn't complete with out a complete spray down by the garden hose.

A different kind of bath

As you probably know, I am not always in the mood for the evening bath. But, it is not because I don't like to be clean - it is just that by the time I have to take my bath, I have already taken several showers/baths through out the day. This evening, I rinsed down with the garden hose first and then I headed inside for a peanut bath.I sat in my bath for at least an hour and just played with the peanuts - well, for the most part, I threw them out on the floor..
I didn't want to get out of the bath, but in the end, there were almost no peanuts left. They were scattered all over the kitchen floor. I really like these kinds of baths!!

Toystore Musical

At the toystore

Dad picked me up early from daycare today. We went home and got ready. First, we shaved and sprayed some deodorant on us. Then, we took dad to the airport and said bye. When he went on board his plane, mom and I went to the toy store. We wanted to find a Halloween costume for me, but instead, we ended up hanging out in the car/bike area. I think, I tried out all the cars on the bottom shelf. I had a great time.
This jeep was my favorite though.
I tried riding the bikes and horses too, but the cars were much more fun, so I quickly moved on to other toys. At home, I like to drive mom and dad's car from time to time. I dig in mom's purse for the keys, find the car key, crawl into the driver seat and pretend to be driving. No worries, I am not driving anywhere - I always have someone to look after me when I "drive" the car.
Oh, back at the toy store, I found a big, blue crayon. I tried it out but it didn't work. I wish, it would have worked - I could have turned our entire driveway blue!!
Have a safe flight, dad!

At the movies

Hi! I went to the movie theater today for the first time and I had a great time. I sat still for a record breaking 17 minutes (or so). But that was because I had a great time and the screen was humongous!!!I also felt like I was in the movie. If someone fell, I yelled out: Oouuu. When I was lots and lots of water, I yelled out (even louder): wavaaa. And then I just commented on what I saw through out the movie. After a while, I got tired of sitting still. I crawled up in mom's lap and fell asleep. The movie, by the way, was about a rat, who wanted to be a chef.
I woke up as we walked out of the theater. Since we were at the mall anyway, I wanted to spend some time a the play are. I found an empty boat and had a great time pretending Octopus and I were heading out the sea.
Oh, and I found Shamu! I have missed him since I last saw him at SeaWorld.
I am already looking forward to our next trip to the movies.
