ZOO and Hermann Park

Today was a super day! Moss and I started off by making Mickey pancakes for breakfast. Then, since the weather was perfect, we headed to the Zoo. We looked for a parking spot for the longest time, finally found one and got our tickets and map. I immediately asked for the map and took charge of guiding everyone around. I would carefully open the map, try and find out where we were and there we would go next. Then, I carefully folded the map again. The folding part was a little tricky.
We saw all these different kinds of animals: Fish, giraffes, elephants, tigers, lions, sea lions, goats and so on.
We rode the carousel, climbed, ran, jumped and then I also insisted that we danced like the Wiggles on these ABC blocks.
After the zoo, we walked over to Hermann Park to feed the ducks and pigeons. We walked around for hours and just enjoyed the day. We tried to ride the peddle boats, but we were too late. So, we rode the train around the park instead...choo choo.
Annika slept through out it all and only woke up to eat..now, that is a perfect little sister :) This we will have to do again soon!

Two Months

Hi, I am now two months old. Yes, a big girl already!! I am working on my typing skills, so that I can also write on our blog and tell you all about what big brother Benjamin and I are up to.
Benjamin has this big Superman poster in his room and I love it. I can stare at it for hours and sometimes I try and talk to Superman too.
I like to pretend to fly around too, just like Superman. Almost there! Moss is helping me out here.
Playing is exhausting when you are little and a break with Moss is just what I need. Benjamin always talks about Moss. I am so glad, I finally get to meet her and I know I'll love her just as much as Benjamin does.

Jumping Joey's

On Thursday we went to Jumping Joey's, an indoor moonwalk park. We had a blast and I can't wait to go back.

Sugar Rush

After having eaten a box full of chocolate, that I oh so quietly brought into my room, I am having a real sugar rush!!

Mostur is finally here

We've been counting down to the big day: When Moss comes over to visit!! We found the Faroese flag and headed to the airport.
Finally, she was here and I was so happy to see her!!!
I spoke with Moss all the way home and was super excited all evening. We had a Faroese evening with dried fish. I love dried fish with LOTS of butter. Annika like Moss too and she kept looking at her and even smiled at Moss.

Moss brought me clothes and chocolate. After dinner, I grabbed a whole box of chocolate and snuck into my room to eat it...all by myself!!! SUGAR RUSH!!!
I love my Moss!!

Smile

I like to tease mamma. I smile from ear to ear, until she pulls out the camera, then nothing.
Then I tease her a little more with an almost smile, but still not a real smile.
Finally this morning, I decided to be nice and say cheese to the camera!!

At the park

The weather was still gorgeous today and we went to the park to burn off some energy. I ran around, climbed and finally hit the slide. I discovered that by throwing dry dirt down the slide first, I would slide super fast.

Back at home, I had to change clothes, because I had dirt all over me. Mamma asked me to go and put on some new under wear and pants. When I emerged from my room, I'd put on a pair of shorts first and then my underwear on top. Underwear on top... just like the super heroes!! Oh, and there is nothing wrong with some color on my legs!

At home

Things have finally settled into some what of a routine - as much of a routine as a 3 year old bundle of energy and a 6 week old infant allow. Things were a little chaotic for a few days with little to no sleep and lots of frustration instead. However, things have finally settled a little after we have had a chance to find a balance here at home. Annika has good and less good days. Over all, she's been doing better. She eats more with every meal and doesn't have to eat every two hours. This is great news - especially at night! For a while, she was crying almost every night and we were afraid, she had colic. But, after changing my diet and avoiding some foods, Annika is doing much better. She still has her bad days, but they cannot be compared to those endless nights of crying and screaming. She has finally started to smile back at us and this morning, she was all smiles and "talking" to us.
Mr. Cool here is a big boy and really helpful around the house (when he wants to). He is especially helpful when his dad is at work. He runs to check in on Annika when she cries. After dinner, he rinses the dishes and then of course, he likes to get his own food too. He is usually halfway in the fridge or on a chair in the pantry looking for food.
Annika is doing better holding up her head. She is still very wobbly, but little by little, she is able to hold up her head for a few moments and look around.
We've been expecting arctic like conditions these past days, but instead, the weather has been beautiful. We spent yesterday afternoon outside in our back yard.

Benjamin has these crayons for the bathtub and every evening our bathroom looks like this:

NASA

Today was a special day: I got to go to NASA. We got ready and headed to omma and abbi's house first. Annika was staying with abbi while we went to NASA. I came to the conclusion that she was too small to fly the rocket up to the moon.At NASA, the rockets were interesting, but no match to the elevator. Yes, the elevator was my favorite "exhibit". I cannot tell you how often we rode it up and down.
Every now and then, we'd take a break from the elevator and do other things.

After hours of fun, we headed back for Annika. Abbi cooked dinner for us and it was delicious. Unfortunately, Annika had been a little fussy and had been crying some too while we were gone. She can be a cry baby at times, but I still love her very much and want to make sure she comes back home with us, when ever we go somewhere.
