Number 4 is missing

Cinnamon apples and the zoo

Did anyone say: Cinnamon? My new love is cinnamon. These past days, I have eaten like an adult and finally I was full. After refusing food for a whole day, mamma finally offered apple with cinnamon. I jumped up, sped out into the kitchen like a little rocket. Pulled a chair over to the spice pantry, climbed up and started looking for my cinnamon. It took mamma forever to peel and cut the apple and I had a really hard time sitting still and waiting. Finally!!! I ate the entire, big apple with lots of cinnamon on it. Yummi!!!
Someone at daycare told me about the zoo and after asking for it a few times, we went in to Houston this morning to visit all the animals. It all started out well and we walked around and visited the sea lions and the hoofed animals. We had a map over the zoo and I kept reading it and reassuring mom by telling her: I know where we are!!
Beautiful butterflies and flowers still in bloom......in comparison to winter photos from the Faroes.
Halfway through the Children's Zoo, I started loosing interest and just wanted to sit in the stroller and relax.
The last stops at the zoo were the elephants and giraffes. By then, I was running a fever and we hurried home.
I have had a high fever all afternoon and have just slept, relaxed and watched tv. I watched an entire Star Wars episode and really enjoyed all the fighter jets, space ships and rockets. For an hour or so, the fever came down some and we managed to build an entire railway system.
I am sleeping again and try and get as much rest as possible. It is no fun being ill!

Tracing Letters

At daycare, we are learning about ABC and 123. We also learn how to write our names. Right now, we are busy learning all the letters in our names and for a start, we trace them. Some letters, I know how to write on my own:

Thanksgiving and other events

We celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday over at aunt Tara's. There was lots and lots of good food and company.
OK, I'll admit, I hardly ate anything, but wanted to head outside or upstairs to play with all the different toys.
and of course Mitchell's guitar and keyboard.
Kaitlin, Mary and I played all kinds of games and puzzles. Kaitlin was so good about teaching us these different games.
What a great day! I'd like to give thanks to a great family!! When we are not celebrating Thanksgiving, I stay pretty busy. I am getting (too) brave on the playground. Mom held her breath and was about to pass out, but I climbed all the way up on my own.
One evening when we came home, there were three big boxes at our front door: Presents from the Faroes!! We carried them in and opened them up.It took forever to open them up and to organize them all in to categories and piles. I helped out with some sorting and put presents in my pile, but when I discovered that I could not open them up, I abandoned the presents and started building my new puzzles in stead. I can not imagine the time it took and chaos at Lang Omma's (great grandma) when Omma, Moss, Abbi, Lang Omma and Ommedid wrapped and sent these presents to us!! TÙSUND TAKK!!!!

Cool Front

We went to see great grandma and -grandpa last weekend. They were ok. We hung out, played cars, had lunch, cake and I got to call everyone on their old fashioned phone.
We also enjoyed this last cool front. We made a fire and I was fascinated. Of course, I had to pose in front of the fireplace.
From there on, I just got creative and we took all these photos with running, jumping and a see through me in front of the fireplace. Cool!

Texas Renaissance Festival

We'd wanted to go the annual Tex Ren Fest and this morning, we decided to go. This weekend, the theme was Pirates. Babba dressed me up in my Scottish Kilt. Unfortunately, we didn't have a shirt to go with it, but that was one of our goals as the festival: Find a shirt.
There were all kinds of costumes.
Old looking houses.
Ponies.
Games... It was hard, but I did my best.
Yeah! We found a shirt for my kilt. I received so many compliments for the rest of the day!
A big horse! And I was not afraid of it.
Joust.
The Scottish queen!
Cheesssseee!
I fell in love with this butterfly girl.
My choice of weapon!
Babba showed me and we hit the balloon once!

Happy 3

November 1 and I am THREE years old!! Happy to you, Ben Davis! Because of Babba's ever changing work schedule, we ended up not having a birthday party today, but will next weekend. Instead, we decided to take it easy. I woke up early, knowing there were presents waiting for me. I opened all of them first thing and had a blast!
I got all kinds of things: clothes, rain gear, cars, car track, puzzle... you name it. We've been building puzzles and racing cars on the car track! Thank you everyone for all the presents!!For dinner, abbi cooked for us: Duck! Yummi. After dinner, omma and abbi had a surprise for me: A big birthday cookie! They all sang for me and then we had cake. It was very sweet with lots and lots of sugar and blue/green icing. I spent the rest of the evening bouncing off the walls and entertaining everyone. Thank you for a great evening, omma and abbi!

Halloween Finale

Finally, Halloween arrived!!! I started celebrating early in the morning by bringing my Superman costume to daycare, dress up and go trick or treating. We enjoyed Wendy's for lunch and I came home super happy and with a bucket full of candy.

At home, we rushed to make dinner and to prepare for the evening. When I walked outside, Cole was already outside, dressed as Superman. We are only 5 houses on our little street, but we are two Supermen residing here.
When it started turning dark, Babba and I headed up and down our street and walked a few streets over. We had fun trick or treating. Mamma stayed at home and handed out candy to all the other kids. Last year, our street was super crowded and we expected the same kind of crowd this year. But, not even half the trick or treaters showed up. Bummer, now, we have bags and bags of left over candy.
Upon my return to my home, I decided to sit down and sort through my second bucket of candy.
Here is a picture of babba and me at Lowes. We like to go out and do men things every now and then. This particular evening, we had a lawn mower race.
