Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve Morning I woke up to breakfast already on the table and a little present from Santa. Actually, we all got presents from Santa. We didn't get the White Christmas, we had hoped for. But, it had snowed a little tiny bit. Mostur and I looked out the kitchen window, while omma ran outside to get some snow for me.

Early afternoon, we got ready and headed to Vestmanna to celebrate Christmas. I had a good time, sat in great grandma's kitchen, had some milk and chatted with great granddad. Everyone was trying to get ready: food, clothes, presents and so on. Later in the afternoon, everyone went to church, well, except me, I fell asleep. By the time, I woke up, everyone came back from church and dinner was served.
Gunnvá sat next to me at the dinner table. We had duck, sweetened potatoes and rice pudding for dessert. We were around 27 people, so it was a full house. We had a great time.
After dinner, we sang Christmas carols and danced around the Christmas tree. Then, all of a sudden, Santa showed up with presents. I was a little shy at first, but when I got my present, Santa was not all that bad after all.
There were lots and lots of presents and I opened my fair share. I got clothes, shoes with lights, toys and books. Thank you so much for all the presents!!!
We played the rest of the evening. I was very interested in the stairs. We did visit my granddad also. He celebrated Christmas with his brother's family. They have a dog and she is really sweet and I had a blast playing with her.
We celebrated Christmas Day with at Granddad and his family. We ate goose and all the good side dishes. Unfortunately, I have no photos from the event. We used granddad's camera and I have not received the photos yet.

Merry Christmas everyone!!

Soccer with great granddad

Before Christmas

Actually, we had a lot of plans, but everything was put on hold when I came down with the flu, then mom got it and then dad got some of it too. Anyway, we had a good time in between the fever spikes and when we had visitors. Great grandma, grandma's sister, Bárdur, Rakul and their kids stopped by for tv bingo and cake

Aunt Jenny and Sølva stopped by and I got a little dog from them.
Rógvi, Durita and their girls stopped by too and I had a good time playing with Brynja.

Time to decorate the Christmas Tree. Nice!!!
We finally got well enough to go outdoors. We headed down to the mall to meet Santa.
Santa gave us oranges and we met Ronja and Emi.

A long trip

Sunday morning, we woke up early. A big car picked us up and took us to the airport. Even if we drove in a nice and big car, I still protested when we passed up all the shuttles at the airport. We checked in and stood in line for security. Finally, we made it through, had breakfast and spent some time watching all the other airplanes outside. Finally, we got to board our flight and I was so excited. I could not talk about anything but airplane, airplane, airplane. Somewhere over Louisiana, I fell asleep.
Again, I got sick the day before and I ran a high fever the night before. With some good care, my fever was kept down and I felt well enough to travel. I did good too. We enjoyed some donuts at Newark Airport.
We built a tent for me in the flight to Denmark. It made sleeping a lot easier.
Sometimes, I would stand and sleep too.
Finally, Denmark! Mostur met us at the airport and we took the train to her apartment.
We had a good time, ate good food and relaxed. In return, I shared my pacifiers with Mostur.

Later in the evening, a taxi picked us up and we went back to the airport. We had one more flight to the Faroes. At first, Mostur told us, she was not flying with us. She would fly a few days later. But, at the airport, she surprised us all and told us, she was flying with us after all. Yeah!!!
Omma og Abbi met us up at the airport in the Faroes. I was so happy to see them again.

Letter to Santa

Dear Santa,

How are your reindeer? My favorite reindeer is Rudolph. I think I'll leave him some carrots and hot chocolate on Christmas Eve.

I love it when you bring presents to all the kids. I have been good all year. I was toys. I will put out milk and cookies for you. What is your favorite kind of cookie? My favorite is M&M.

Have a safe trip! Hope to see you soon!

Love

Morning fresh

I am always happy and full of energy, even in the mornings. And, I really enjoy hanging out with my friends at daycare. I look forward to seeing them every week morning. One morning, they were playing dance music as I walked in. John, Mia and I immediately held hands and danced, while we waited on breakfast.

Finger painting

Back at home after the Christmas party, we sat down to color while we waited for dinner. I have these magical markers. They only work on magic paper and do not work on my fingers, face or clothes. However, if I color my hand and put my hand on the magic paper, my hand print appears on the paper. Cool!. It also works on my new teddy bear's hand.

Neighborhood Christmas Party

We went to the neighborhood Christmas party today. Santa was sitting there and waiting for me. I walked right over to him and sat in his lap. I was not shy or scared. He asked me if I have been a good boy this year. I replied with a loud and clear voice: Yeah! I got a snowman teddy bear from Santa. I said: Thank you and named the teddy: Baby.
After visiting Santa, we enjoyed some cookies and juice.
We also got to go on a (couple of) hay ride(s). One of the other kids asked: How come it is a hayride if there is no hay in the wagon? Very valid point, never the less, we went on a hayride.
I sat still and watched all the decorated houses and front yards. I wasn't too happy when our ride was over. Later, as we were getting ready to go home, I saw they were getting ready for one last ride. I made a run for it and we made it. Yeah!! Two rides!! Lucky us!! I would have been perfectly happy if I could have been on every single ride.
You really should have seen all the Christmas lights.

At the Airport

We are now officially regulars at the airport. Lately, we have been at their airport once or twice a week. I love it, when ever we get to go to the airport. When we get close to the airport, I start asking for the bus. So, we park at the parking lot and ride the bus in to the airport. I enjoy driving in the bus, because it drives really fast and it is a really bumpy ride. And, it usually drives around to all the terminals and I get to see lots and lots of airplanes. The other night, the driver turned off the lights inside the bus, just so that I could better see the airplanes outside.

We went back to the airport today and again, I asked for the bus. I wasn't very pleased, when we passed up all the buses and drove all the way into the airport. We dropped dad off and to make up for no bus ride, we parked right in front of the landing strip and watched the airplanes fly right over us. I had a great time and I didn't want to go home!

December

Time goes by too fast, it is December already!! There is a lot of Christmas Stuff around and people seem to get more and more into the Christmas Spirit as the days pass by.

Mom and dad decided to go out on a date on Friday, and I spent the night over at grandma and granddad's. Saturday morning, we went out for a walk and drive at the mall.
Granddad said, I ate some of Gizmo's food. How could he tell?
Back at home, we walked around our neighborhood and enjoyed the Christmas Displays. Our neighbors have a couple or reindeer in their front yard. The reindeer move and they are all lit up. I walk over to them every evening and pet them and try and kiss them.
It is a little difficult to kiss them, since they move their heads. I have to time my kiss.
Dad went out to play golf on Sunday morning. In the mean time, mom and I hung out at the house and made pancakes for breakfast. I mixed the ingredients and mom poured the dough on
the pan. I am not allowed to touch the pan.
Mmmmm, Mimi (Mickey) pancakes.
"Where is the syrup??"
I love the internet! I get to watch a few videos every night. I like to watch excavators, airplanes, Mickey and Thomas. I sit still on the barstool (I don't like to sit on the sofa and watch the computer, I insist on the barstool) and only when the videos end, I yell: Oh Ow! Otherwise, I still and watch. Sunday night, we made cookies (see the video below). Again, was I very helpful and mixed the ingredients. A couple of times I got a little too eager measuring the flour. I got flour in my hair, eyes and on my shirt.
Ugh, Monday morning. I had to be woken up this morning. I just don't like Monday mornings. There was nothing to do but to get dressed, have breakfast and head out the door. It is cooling down again and we made sure the dress up. It may get really cold tonight and tomorrow night.
"Can we go now? I want to play with Dja!"
