American FOOTball

Getting ready for Halloween

It was nice and cool outside this morning, so we got dressed and went outside to work on the yard. I mowed, edged and swept. Then, we found a very big, little ant community. I know by now, they bite. So, I ran inside and got dad's thick gardening gloves. We sprayed and sprayed and I think we got most of them. It was time for lunch and a nap by the time, we were done with the yard. I had worked so hard and was so tired that I crashed and slept for 2.5 hours. Usually, when I wake up, I yell: Mammaaa!!! Today, I got out of bed, walked out into the kitchen and yelled BOO at mom. We then got ready and walked across the street to Zormarie and Ronnie to carve pumpkins. They were preparing and Ronnie and I used our leaf blowers to clear the driveway. I really like Ronnie and like to talk with him about sports (Ball).
Mamma and I worked on one pumpkin. First, we cut a hole in the top and dug out all the meat and seeds.
We had a great time! I helped out a lot and also made sure to visit the brownie tray quite a bit.
Tadaa! Here are all of our pumpkins. Ours is the one on the left. We put a candle inside the pumpkin and then put the pumpkin outside. Tonight, you can see all of our pumpkins lit up in our neighborhood.
Can't wait until Halloween!!!

Pasta Giggles

Colder weather

Finally, fall has arrived! This morning, when we went to the daycare, the weather was nice and it still felt like summer. But, when it was time to go home, it was cold outside. I had to put on a jacket, before we went out to the car. And when I stepped outside, I stopped dead in my tracks and went bbrrrr. It was that cold. We had spaghetti for dinner this evening. It was a little messy and I had to change my shirt. I guess I looked a little like a "homie" with my pants hanging down like that. Oh well! I was busy setting the table and then helping with filling the dish washer after dinner.
A little cold weather is not going to stop us playing outside. So, we put on some warm clothes and headed outside. We played some football (soccer) and had a lot of fun. We were the only ones outside and I missed playing with all my friends.
Every time there was a wind gust, I stopped and looked at the trees swaying in the wind. They said ooooouuuuu and I found it all very fascinating.

I comment on the slide show on our myspace. The words are not all that clear yet, but I am working on them. I try to repeat words and to pronounce them the right way.

Thomas the Train and the Black Pearl

See my new pajamas? They are Thomas the Train pajamas. Every Saturday- and Sunday morning, I watch Thomas go Choo Choo! I picked these out myself at the store and I slept in them for the first time last night. This morning, I protested loudly when I had to change out of them. I wanted to wear them at daycare and show my friends! What kind of a ship is that?? Is that dad's boat? No! That is the Black Pear from the Pirates of the Caribbean. Come on, I know dad's boat comes with a engine and it goes wwwwwrruuummmm.
Next weekend, the neighbors will have a get together. We will all carve pumpkins. Since mom and I have never tried it before, we decided to go to the store and get some pumpkins to practice on. We picked out one pumpkin each. Turns out, it is really not that difficult, it is actually very fun. Except for scraping out all the meat and seeds. We were quite proud of the final result!

Hi,

Sadly, the weekend is over. It seems to be over too soon every time! Maybe it is because we are having such a good time?

On Saturday, we relaxed, went for long walks and played with the other kids in the neighborhood. At the playground we played on the slide, swing and then we walked a little further and saw some construction equipment. Every time mom tried to take photos of me-in-action, I would sit down, smile and say Cheese!! 10,000 photos later - I am not stupid, I know what the camera is for!
OK, I did a little bit of work too on Saturday. I cleaned out and reorganized my cupboard. I have one cupboard in the kitchen where I store my Tupperware and plastic cups. I love to play in it and like to pull everything out and climb inside myself.

Fish: As you know, we got a little bowl and some fish a while back. Well, last night, they started swimming backwards and sideways and sometimes upside down. Google told us, their bowl may to too small. See, even if we change out part of their water several times a week, it is still not enough - because fish are a little messy and require lots of room! So, there was nothing else to do: we got a bigger aquarium with a biopump. We have kept an eye on the all day and they are well now. They swim normal again and they eat all their food again. I really like my fish and want them to feel well!I am in charge of dad's car when he is at work. I am trying to get familiar with all the buttons and things inside. One day I plan on driving the thing myself! I want to be able to use it as a get away car when I don't want to change my diaper or brush my teeth!

Spooked

Tuesday: We had to go to Lowes for new sand. The cats had gotten into our sandbox again. I guess they think it is this big litter box. Anyway, we walked around Lowes and looked at all these cool things. I got to try out mowers, drills, vacuums and I saw a whole aisle of Christmas stuff - I was very impressed, all though, it is WAY to early for Christmas Stuff.Yesterday: By the time we got home, lots of kids were already outside playing. Nathan was driving around in his sister's jeep. I decided to pull out my ATV and join them. We raced and I also got to drive with Nathan in the jeep. We drove around while Delany stood on her roller skates and held onto the jeep.
Last night, around my bedtime, the door bell rang all of a sudden. We looked outside the window, but no one was there. Then a couple of minutes later, the door bell rang again. And again, no one was there, so we figured, some kids were playing a prank on us. But this morning, we had a ghost hanging on our door and a little basket with treats sitting outside our door. We had been Spooked! This is a game, the kids in our area play. Someone Spooks us and then we have to Spook two other people. So, we went out and got two baskets and drew two ghosts. But, since I don't run fast enough to ring the door bell and run and hide, we asked a couple girls to help us out. It was fun, although, I didn't like the idea of having to give up the two goody baskets.
Here is a picture from this morning. I went outside to get my goody basket in my pj's. I know by now how it goes. When I see a camera, I smile and say: cheeeeaaaaasssssee

This week

I have been at home for the most part this week. I coughed a lot and ran a high fever. Several kids from my daycare were ill too, so I guess there is something going around. Mom stayed at home with me on Monday and then granddad came over on Tue-, Wed- and Thursday. I had a great time at home and tried to get well as fast as I could. I felt fine on Thursday, but granddad still came over to visit me. At that time, I thing we were both a little tired of staying at home and so, we went out for a ride and then over to the mall.
I was back at daycare on Friday. I missed John and my other friends. I asked several times for: Vaa (vøggustova/daycare) and dja (John). In the picture below, John and Elisa are playing with me. I have also known Elisa for a long time. Can you see all the new furniture and floor behind us?
When we came back home on Friday, we had a big water fountain at the front of our house. We have a watering hose in our flower bed and we had turned it on in the morning. The water will slowly drip out of small holes in the hose. Somehow, there was also a big hole in the hose when we came home. It was a really big water fountain and I loved it!!
After we had turned off the water and had eaten dinner, we went out for a bike ride. First, we stopped at the construction site and took a closer look at the back hoe. This time, I was a lot braver and even stepped into the bucket.
What I really wanted was to drive it myself. But, I am still too short to reach the ladder. I guess, I have some growing to do.

Work

Hi.

I, mom and dad, we all work. I go to work every day at the daycare. The photo below is an old photo. I was only a little boy back then and I was in the baby room. I am in a different room now and hang out with the big kids. We do all kinds of things at daycare: we draw, paint, sing, dance, play outside, read books, eat and nap....and lots and lots of other things. Our daycare just got a make over. We now have new, wooden flooring, new furniture and all brand new toys. I like to go to daycare and play with all my friends. My best friend is John. I have known him since I was 6 months old. Every morning, when I arrive at daycare, I walk straight over to John, greet him and then we look out for each other all day.
Mamma works in an office. She sells these big and cool lifts. They say wwrruummm when they start up and when they drive around, they say beep beep beep. Oh, and they go way up in the air. Almost all the way up to the clouds. I hope, I can get a ride in one of those lifts one day. Mamma's and my jobs are very similar. She also draws and reads a lot, just like me. But, she does not get to play outside and take a nap though. I think that is sad and so, every evening after dinner, I let her play outside until our bedtime.

Dad works on board the big boat. The boat goes chugchugchug on the ocean. When mom and I go to work, we ride in our car. When dad goes to work, he gets to ride in the big airplane, because the boat is so far away. When dad is done working, he gets back in the airplane and flies home to us. This time, he went to a strange country, where the men wear skirts and blow in these oooouuuiiiiuuuiiii pipes!
There are also big castles and I would love to see one of them. Maybe I could see a few knights and a big dragon!!Even if dad is on the boat, he always sends us emails and sometimes photos too. When ever I see a photo of dad, it really makes my day. I talk to the photo, tell mom that dad is on the chugchugchug boat and send dad kisses.
Oh, and here is dad's boat. It is a really nice boat and it is bwu, no, wuvvow, no ,bwak, no, wed...yeah, wed, yeah!!
