Daycare routine

Every day when I leave daycare, I have my own little routine. First, I walk along the fence and pick up any toys that have been thrown outside the fence. I pick up the toys and toss them back into the play area. Today, I found two boats.Then I walk over to the buses and say good bye. These days, we have a couple of containers outside the daycare. They are redoing all the rooms - ours too.

At my grandparents

Hi! I went to visit grandma and granddad today, because mom and dad went to the movies. I had a blast. I was supposed to take a nap but never did. I had such a good time and didn't want to miss out on a thing. They have a lot of toys and I love to pull out all these different toys, especially all the cars.I also pretended to be a tiger. I even looked like one: yellow with stripes. I looked around and tried to spot a prey. I walked on my toes, carefully so that I would not be seen or heard. I though I spotted something move. I tip toed a little closer, careful not to scare off my prey. My claws all the way out, closer. Yes, I thought I recognized my target. Would I make it? The atmosphere was all tense. I got ready to jump.....
Gggggrrrrrr. Gotcha!!!! Ha ha. I caught grandma!! She didn't have a chance to get away!When mom and dad came to pick me up, I was ready to go home. I handed out kisses and good byes and I was asleep in the car with in a couple of minutes.

The weather was perfect this morning. I ran outside and jumped into the pool, but said: Uuuhh!!! and jumped right back out. The water was still cold. Instead, I headed for the water hose and turned on the water. Now, everything in the back yard has been sprayed down: the slide, my shoes, my lawnmower, the patio, the tree, even mom.
I tried to warm up the pool, but the water in the hose was just as cold; mission failed.
This evening, we went for a walk. In the start, I walked too, but I was soon put in the stroller. I can't help it when every thing, I see, is so interesting and needs to be investigated. On our way back home, we stopped by the play ground. I was all tough and went for the big slide and walked by myself all the way up to the top. But once I was up there, everything was a long way down and I changed my mind. I guess I was not all that tough tonight after all.
At the store, I got the Spiderman PJs. Now I am tough again! See the cobweb?

A good weekend

On Friday, we went out to Hooters for dinner. I was a good boy and sat still while we ate, but when I was done eating, I wanted out of my chair. Right then, one of the Hooters girls saw me try to escape out of my chair. She asked if she could hang out with me while mom and dad finished their meal. I wish I would have brought the camera. I was in heaven. Being the center of attention of several Hooters girls! Yes, I am quite the ladies man!

When I am not surrounded by ladies, I like to hang out with dad. Friday night, we had jell-o. I had never tried it before, but I loved it. It was wiggling on the spoon and funny to eat. I had two servings and was about to burst of energy, when I was done eating. We went outside and I ran and ran and ran and ran.I did stop running long enough to help dad pull the trash can down the drive way. Saturday morning is trash day.Saturday morning: Mom and I were folding towels when I heard a lawn mower start outside. In less than a split second, I was out the door and had retrieved my mower too. I always help dad mowing the lawn. I even have my own weed eater and leaf blower.
After a long nap, we headed over to the Woodlands to meet with the rest of the family. Since dad just turned 40 and aunt Christi just turned 30, grandma and granddad took everyone out for dinner. I was a big boy, sat still and ate a lot. However, then it was time for dessert, I was ready to move around. So, mom and I went for a walk. In the restaurant, we saw all kinds of things hanging up on the walls, including deer, bison, goats, longhorns and saddles. Outside, I just stared at all the big trucks out on the highway.

Kemah

I spent Sunday night over at grandma's and granddad's together with Kaitlin and Mitchell. Monday was spent in Kemah and we had a great time!!

dad and I went to the butterfly museum today. I liked the butterflies, but preferred the bugs.

Back in Texas

We are back in Texas. We thought, compared to the trip to the Faroes, the trip to Texas would be short and easy. Boy, were we wrong! We arrived at the airport in good time and planned on taking our time enjoying breakfast, playing at the play ground and say hello to granddad. But, at the check in counter, all those plans went down the drain. They told us, there was something wrong with my ticket and that I could not get on the plane. And, of course, they told us, they could not help us. The few attempts they made, they made a lot of mistakes and almost sent me to Hartford, CT with another Davis family. At that point, mom got really angry with them. I didn't understand all that was going on and just sat in the stroller like a good boy and ate my gum bears and sent mom kisses. All of a sudden, they came up with a way to get me to Amsterdam. We had to run to make the flight and they closed the doors right behind us. In Amsterdam, we had to take care of the rest of my ticket. It was not a big deal and in the end, we had 30 minutes to relax, play and have something to eat.
The big airplane was really big. I was asleep when we came on board and when I finally woke up I was mostly interested in running around and playing with all the other kids. Fortunately, we were able to switch seats, so we sat by the aisle. This meant, we didn't have to interrupt all the people around us every time we wanted to walk around - and this was quite often. It was a long flight, but I was a really good boy.
Grandma and granddad came to pick us up at the airport. We drove in the bus to get to the car and I loved sitting in the bus and watching all the planes outside. Back at home, we took a quick shower and headed out to get some food. I crashed shortly after we made it home. I was so tired.

Sunday morning, I was (unfortunately) up bright and early. We played and did house chores. I also got a hair cut. See my hairy back!
I was in a better mood after my nap and we decided to head over to aunt Tara. Everyone was there and granddad and I headed into the pool. I have missed the swimming pools and all the water. After the visit, I went home with grandma and granddad. I spent the night with them and Kaitlin and Mitchell were also there.
I had a blast playing with Kaitlin and Mitchell on Monday. When mom was off from work, granddad took me home. We were going to pick up dad at the airport. I enjoyed to bus ride again and screamed and clapped every time, I saw a plane. I went straight to dad when I saw him and helped him carry the luggage out to the bus.
I have been at home with dad today and we have done a lot f things around here. Dad cut his hair, we went to visit mom at the office and after dinner, we made chocolate chip cookies.Publish PostBenjamin

August 17

We left the Faroes today and flew to Denmark. Tomorrow, we will continue to Houston. I fell asleep the minute, we took off and slept all the way to Copenhagen.

We got the best room at the hotel: A room with a view of the airport and a busy street with busses and all sorts of vehicles. I prefer to stand by the window a look out side.

We went back to see Tivoli. This time, we did some rides too. I flew several planes.
Drove a few veteran cars and rode a camel on the caroussel.
Back at the hotel, granddad came to visit. He is flying today too and will head out to Greenland tomorrow. He gave me a little airplane.
Bathtime and then bedtime. We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow.Benjamin
