This week

Again, we have been busy this week. We had picture day at daycare and I put on my shirt and tie. I looked like a handsome, young man, if I may say so myself. On our way out to the car, mom asked if she could get a picture of me. I said yes, walked outside to the front lawn, sat down and posed - all by myself.!!
Every day, I learn new things and I get better and better at climbing and jumping. These days, I climb up on my table and jump over on my bed.
Since we moved the fence by my window, I have this view out to the back yard. Now, I sit and watch airplanes and cats from my bedroom window. As the airplanes fly over us, I tell mom who is in the airplanes. Actually, turns out that babba, omma and moss have been flying over our house for the past many weeks.
John and I went out for pizza one evening. Mamma and John's mom came too. I was so excited to see John and kept asking for him. I was so happy when I saw him and could not stop smiling. When we sat down to eat, John and I preferred to play and see who was the loudest at the table. We had a couple of Mine!-incidents, but we are still good friends.
Grandma and granddad came over one evening. They brought balloons, goody bag and cake from Mary's birthday. I started the weekend with some fever and could not go to Mary's birthday. We enjoyed the cake and I loved the soap bubbles. Thanks!!
These days Mamma and I are debating about food. She says, when I eat, the food goes to my tummy and then in my diaper. I don't agree. After the tummy, it goes to my knees and then in my toes. Silly Mamma.

Soap bubble fight

I have rediscovered my passion for airplane videos on YouTube. Yesterday, after dinner, mom and I sat down to look at some of the videos. I usually ask to see a video. Mom calls me a broken record, but I disagree. I just want to make sure, I am heard: Airplane! airplane! airplane! airplane! airplane! Aaiirplaaane!! After a few airplane videos: Choo choo! choo choo! choo chooooooooOOO!! When I don't see Emily in the Thomas Train video I ask for her: Emmy? Emmyyyy!!!?? She is my favorite train. Tonight, we filled up the kitchen sink with soap bobbles and I got to wash a set of new zip lock boxes. When mom came over to check on me, she got a soap bubble wash too. - ha ha ha!!!
Hi hi hi...
But, then I got washed too!
We made a mess, but we had fun. After the soap bubble fight, we had to dry the counter top, cabinets and floor. And I had to change to my pjs because I was soaked.
I have started to talk more. I say new words every day and I like to repeat words. I still need to practice a lot, but I am so proud when I say a new word and mom understands me. Soon, I will talk like a waterfall and you can't stop me.

Playing with Amalie

Amalie came by this evening. She is Anders' and Susanne's baby girl. I knew a baby came to visit and play with us and I was so excited. At first, I didn't know what to think, I just looked at her, touched her nose gently, talked back to her and then I ran in to my room to play with my trains. Mom and Amalie would also play trains and watch the Wiggles with me. Sometimes, Amalie took a nap and I would then check on her every now and then. She wears a diaper, just like I do. When mom put Amalie on a blanket to change her diaper, I quickly grabbed my blanket and lay down too. Diaper change assembly line. First we had our diapers changed and then I mimicked Amalie's movements.
I had a lot of fun for one day, but finally had to give in and go to bed. I was a good boy this evening. I helped mom and I was gentle with Amalie. I hope, she'll come by to play with me again some time soon. If the weather is better, I can show her my bike.

Shaving

(Don't worry. I cannot cut myself)

Getting a haircut

Earlier this week, babba and I went to get a haircut. When mamma got home, she asked how things went:
Mamma: Did Benjamin get a haircut?
Benjamin: Yes!
Mamma: Did babba get a haircut?
Benjamin: Yes!
Mamma: Did Benjamin sit still?
Benjamin: Yeahssss!!
Mamma: Did babba sit still?
Benjamin: Nnnnoooooohhhhh!!! (hi hi hi hi)

Valentine's Morning

Valentine's Day

Valentine's morning and I had just gotten a Thomas Train Card from mom and dad. It said Choo Choo when I opened up the card. We celebrated Valentines at daycare too. We gave each other cards and candy. I came home with a full goody bag.
Babba had prepared a wonderful dinner for us. He'd made lamb, potatoes and even baked a bread. Of course, he'd bought flowers for us too.
We all relaxed after dinner and I kicked back and watched Thomas Train in my bedroom.

A Busy Saturday

I slept in Saturday morning, didn't wake up until 9am. We had breakfast and ran a few errands. Since it was such a pretty day outside, we decided to move a part of the fence. First, we had to go to Lowes for supplies. I would like to have shown you photos, but there are none - since I was no where to be found for a photo shoot. Mom and I were outside Lowes, waiting on dad, while he paid for the supplies. As he walked out the door, I ran back in to the store. Mom followed me, but I was gone. She looked all over for me and had to call dad to come look too. A couple of (very long) minutes later, I was found in the garden center, on the opposite side of Lowes. They were not very happy and I knew I had done something wrong.

We did make it home - all three of us - and started working on the new fence. Mom and I tore down the old part and dad built the new fence. Now my bedroom window is in the backyard, and I have a much better view.
I was a very good helper. I brought my own hammer and I carried all the big pickets over to the trash pile.
Finally, we filled dirt in the holes from the old fence and we were done.We ended the evening with some burgers and fries and did some painting. I loved mixing all the colors.I objected at first, but knew, I had to give in. I was filthy. I had worked all day and had not taken a nap at all.

Boom BOOM

This evening, just as we were on the phone with Omma, we heard and saw thunder and lightning. We rushed outside to see the lightning and also to show Omma.

Head, shoulders

I like to sing: Head, shoulders, knees, toes.... Here in the video, I had just learned the song and was singing my version: Head, knees, toes, shoulders, eat....

New Vacuum

Spring Weather

Dad came home on Thursday. We rode in the bus and got to see a lot of airplanes. Through the bus ride, I kept saying: Bus, airplane, BUS!, Airplaaaane!!!!. I couldn't help it, I was so excited. I was very happy to see dad again. I ran over to give him a big hug. But then I noticed all the buses behind dad. I changed direction and headed over towards the buses instead. In the end, I ran over to dad and gave him a big hug too.

Dad and I spent Friday at home and just enjoyed each other's company.Dad gave me this cool, Scottish Rugby polo. The weather has been so nice these past days and we have visited a few parks again. I have really grown and can climb all the way up on my own!!
Our vacuum decided to quit on us a few days back and we had to get a new one. I really like the new vacuum. It is blue and I can ride on it too, while I give dad instructions. This weekend, we went out to eat with grandma and granddad, we played outside a lot and just enjoyed the weekend. I spent Monday at home too and dad and I went to Lowes for some flowers for our front yard. First, we planted the flowers...
...and then we watered them.
After a day of hard work, we rode our bikes over to the park and enjoyed the afternoon.
