Annika and I

I found some of my baby photos and I think that Annika and I look very much alike as babies.

Annika Ró Carlsdóttir Davis

Here she is, my baby sister, Annika.

She finally decided to come out of mamma's tummy. December 4, at 11.33 pm. She weighed 5lbs 6 oz and was 17.5 inches. She is so tiny and I really love her.

We'll write more later.

Number 4 is missing

Cinnamon apples and the zoo

Did anyone say: Cinnamon? My new love is cinnamon. These past days, I have eaten like an adult and finally I was full. After refusing food for a whole day, mamma finally offered apple with cinnamon. I jumped up, sped out into the kitchen like a little rocket. Pulled a chair over to the spice pantry, climbed up and started looking for my cinnamon. It took mamma forever to peel and cut the apple and I had a really hard time sitting still and waiting. Finally!!! I ate the entire, big apple with lots of cinnamon on it. Yummi!!!
Someone at daycare told me about the zoo and after asking for it a few times, we went in to Houston this morning to visit all the animals. It all started out well and we walked around and visited the sea lions and the hoofed animals. We had a map over the zoo and I kept reading it and reassuring mom by telling her: I know where we are!!
Beautiful butterflies and flowers still in bloom......in comparison to winter photos from the Faroes.
Halfway through the Children's Zoo, I started loosing interest and just wanted to sit in the stroller and relax.
The last stops at the zoo were the elephants and giraffes. By then, I was running a fever and we hurried home.
I have had a high fever all afternoon and have just slept, relaxed and watched tv. I watched an entire Star Wars episode and really enjoyed all the fighter jets, space ships and rockets. For an hour or so, the fever came down some and we managed to build an entire railway system.
I am sleeping again and try and get as much rest as possible. It is no fun being ill!

Tracing Letters

At daycare, we are learning about ABC and 123. We also learn how to write our names. Right now, we are busy learning all the letters in our names and for a start, we trace them. Some letters, I know how to write on my own:

Thanksgiving and other events

We celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday over at aunt Tara's. There was lots and lots of good food and company.
OK, I'll admit, I hardly ate anything, but wanted to head outside or upstairs to play with all the different toys.
and of course Mitchell's guitar and keyboard.
Kaitlin, Mary and I played all kinds of games and puzzles. Kaitlin was so good about teaching us these different games.
What a great day! I'd like to give thanks to a great family!! When we are not celebrating Thanksgiving, I stay pretty busy. I am getting (too) brave on the playground. Mom held her breath and was about to pass out, but I climbed all the way up on my own.
One evening when we came home, there were three big boxes at our front door: Presents from the Faroes!! We carried them in and opened them up.It took forever to open them up and to organize them all in to categories and piles. I helped out with some sorting and put presents in my pile, but when I discovered that I could not open them up, I abandoned the presents and started building my new puzzles in stead. I can not imagine the time it took and chaos at Lang Omma's (great grandma) when Omma, Moss, Abbi, Lang Omma and Ommedid wrapped and sent these presents to us!! TÙSUND TAKK!!!!
