Photo
This photo was taken early one morning, shortly after we all woke up. Benjamin crawled into our bed and wanted to greet his little sister. He spoke softly to her and played and cuddled with her. He is a wonderful big brother and is so proud of Annika.

Enjoying some days off at home
The Santas from the Faroes and Denmark have sent us so many presents, including presents for the calendar. Every Saturday and Sunday morning, I get to open up a present from Santa. I have gotten candy, books, puzzles and all kinds of fun things. I really like Santa!
These past days, we have had a great time at home. I was supposed to go to a birthday party this weekend, but it was cancelled. Instead, we went to the annual neighborhood Christmas party. I took a picture with Santa, had some snacks and got a goody bag. There was also a moon walk and hayride. Mamma and Annika stopped by for a little bit, but didn't stay for long.
Mary and Aunt Christi came by to say hello and to see Annika. While Aunt Christi was talking to mom and dad and played with Annika, Mary and I were busy playing puzzles and trains.

This morning, we wanted to get out of the house, so we headed over to the Woodlands mall. Mamma and Babba told me about the carousel at the mall, but I really didn't like the idea of the carousel..... until I saw it (that's when the broken record went from: I don't want to go!...to I want to go!). Babba and I rode the carousel several times and he even showed me how to make silly faces every time we passed mamma and Annika.
Annika didn't get to ride the carousel, since she was fast asleep in the stroller.
Omma and abbi came by to visit this afternoon. Omma played with Annika, but had to be careful and watch her back. Omma recently had back surgery and is wearing her turtle shell and has to be very careful. Oh, and she showed us the zipper on her back!
Abbi, babba and I played puzzles and of course, we raced each other. We all won a game or two. Abbi cheated a little with his puzzle, but I still won some races!

Green peas and snow
Last night at the dinner table, babba told me a secret that abbi had told him as a kid: Eating green peas puts hair on your chest! I ate a pea and with in 2 seconds, I felt a hair grow on my chest and there it was! After dinner, I had about 16 or 17 hairs on my chest...See:
The weather forecast said, we may get some snow or sleet. Finally, in the late afternoon, it started snowing. We ran outside with a camera, but the snow was still too light to see on camera.
Little by little it came down and we were able to build this little, one inch snowman.
As the evening went on, more snow fell and we managed to build a slightly bigger snowman.
The ground was covered in snow and babba and I had a snowball fight. I won!
All of our neighbors were outside and enjoyed the snow and the kids were outside playing until late evening. It was such a cozy Christmas evening - Outside, snowflakes falling slowly to the ground, Christmas lights and children playing. Inside, Christmas music playing and the fireplace going. What a great evening.
After playing outside for a good while, we came back inside. We had to get undressed in the garage, since we were soaked.
Then I sat down in front of the fireplace to defrost and after some hot chocolate, was ready to go to bed.
Of course, I had to hold Annika for a little bit and kiss her good night first.

What a great evening!!

hi
Hi, here I am again. I am now 5 days old and a big girl now. The photo below was taken when I was only three days old and still a baby. When I don't sleep, I am alert and look at all the things around me and try and make out everything - it is still a little bit of a blur to me. One of my favourite objects to watch is big brother Benjamin. He'll run around and play, talk and he always has a lot of love and kisses for me.
I have already gotten the hang of bossing people around. The minute I am hungry, food is there. Of course, giving mom the angry look helps too. They keep telling me that I and so little, but just want until I am hungry and I make sure that I am both seen and heard.
But, usually, I am just happy and content when I am awake.
