Back in the old days...
Or, at least, that is how old the photos look. Mom and I came across her old camera and found that a few shots were left. We took some photos and developed the film roll. I didn't know that is how people used to get their photos. I felt really old fashioned picking up a stack of negatives! Strange camera!?! The film roll showed sign of aging - but no wonder, it was 4 years old.
Early in 2003 mom and dad went to St. Louis and there they watched baseball. Houston Astros and St. Louis Cardinals played and the Astros won after a long and cold game.
Summer 2003: Not to forget (all though, I don't even remember, since I wasn't even born yet) ... all the bricks in our back yard. Mom and dad had just purchased their first house and a couple of weeks later it rained so bad, the entire back yard turned into a big pool. Dad wanted to dig a drain to lead all the water away, but found nothing but bricks, when he started digging. I think, he still has some kind of brick phobia.
Summer 2003: Lake Travis, Austin. Mom and dad went on a weekend trip. Beautiful, don't you think?
Early 2004: Mom and dad went to the Houston Rodeo for a concert.
September 2007: Finally! Here I am!! I love to play with water - like usual. I think just about everything with in spraying distance has been watered enough to last through the rest of the summer.
On Saturday (2007) we went over to Mountasia to play mini golf. I won! I got only 10 points. Mom was number two with 50 points and dad came in way, way last with 51 points.
I had a good time looking through all the old photos. One thing is for sure, they didn't take near as many photos back then as they do now!

Misc
We haven't done a whole lot this week. I spent some days at daycare and some days at home with dad. One day, dad and I went to the store to get groceries. Back at home, we took a break and enjoyed a cupcake. I am getting better at eating the cupcakes. Now, I only get a little bit of the icing on my face. When I was a little boy, I used to be a mess :)
The latest thing is the slide. I have a slide in the back yard and at first, I try to climb up the slide. I make it about half the way up, but then slide back down.
Today, was no different and when I had finally made it up top and was about to slide down, a motor bike drove by and I stopped dead in my tracks. I LOVE motor bikes. They look cool and they are loud and say: wwrruuuummm!!
I have also been a good helper outside lately. I have squirted all the spiders with my water gun. I guess, you can call it pest control :) Anyway, they don't stand a chance. I got two this evening.
Here are dad's and my lawn care equipment: lawn mower, weed eater and trimmer. We have one set each.

San Antonio Day 2
Since we had so much fun on Saturday, we decided to stay for one more day. We moved to another hotel downtown. Our room had a balcony and a view over the Riverwalk. I loved watching all the boats, buses and cars drive by.
Our room was way up there!!!
When we had unpacked and I had napped, we headed back out. We went to the Zoo. There were all kinds of animals: Bears, monkeys, bats, birds, dragons. You name it, we saw it. We also saw a really long snake.
The zoo was beautiful. It felt like walking around in a forest.
I feel like this too sometimes!
See, more animals.
Halfway through the zoo, and of course in the farthest corner, it started pouring down. We ended up sheltering in a birdhouse. It kept raining and would not stop. Finally, we decided to be brave and run out to the car. Of course we were soaked. I had a good time though. I love water.
Back at the hotel in all dried up, we went out to town! First a good meal and then a boat ride.

I slept well that night and woke up so happy and well rested. Shortly after I woke up, a lady brought us breakfast. Mmm, I could get used to this.
A walk in the park to burn off some energy.
In the middle of the park, we found a tall tower. It went all the way up to the clouds.
When we went all the way up to the top of the tower, everything below us looked so small.

Sea World, San Antonio, Texas
Saturday morning, I was pulled out of bed bright and early. Well, it wasn't bright, it was still dark outside. I was put in the car seat in my pj's along with teddy. I was a big boy in the car and we stopped only once, even if it was a really long drive to San Antonio. At the hotel, we changed clothes, repacked and headed out to Sea World.
Sea World is a big park and there is so much to see. We said hello to the big Clydesdale's (horses) and then continued to the dolphins. They swam around in a big pool and every now and then would come up to greet us.
Some times they would swim right by us.
We fed the ducks and the flamingos. Do you know the flamingos are pink because they eat so much shrimp?
And then we made it to the big show: Shamu. We arrived early and had to wait for a little while. I was a good boy, but every now and then had to get up to see when the whales would show up. This was a show with three Killer Whales. It was an amazing show and I really enjoyed every minute of it.
Finally they showed up. Wow!
They jumped out of the water and performed all kinds of tricks.
They swam with their trainers.
Of course we all got a little wet.
And the whales would also come out of the water to say hello and wave at us.
Here we are after the show with a big whale behind us. Don't worry, it is not real!
We then continued over to the penguins. It was getting warm outside, so a little trip to the South Pole was welcomed.
The last thing, we did, was to visit the seals.
They had a show with an otter, two seals and a manatee.
The seals would come out of the water to say hello. At least, that is what I think they said?
We had a great time. I didn't have time to nap or anything. I was so tired at the end of the day and crashed immediately in the car. Back at the hotel, we went outside in the pool for a little bit - I guess to try and stay awake until the regular bed time. Unfortunately, we forgot my floats. See, I think I am a great swimmer - just like Shamu. I just let go and swim for dear life. I think I probably swallowed half the pool. I guess, I have to practice some more.
