Santa

I was really surprised today! We went to the mall to visit Santa - again and I am still afraid of him. I reached for mommy and my aunt and tried to get away from the big, red man. But then all of a sudden, Santa was gone, and then it was fine to sit down in the chair and read a story about Santa and Rudolf with mom and aunt Elsa. Then the lady said: Smile! When I saw the picture afterwards, I was surprised, because Santa was right there - hiding behind the chair!!
Christmas is right around the corner. I am really excited, because we have this pretty Christmas tree and all these packages under the tree. I am good about not touching the ornaments and packages, but once in a while, I have to take a closer look. Soon, dad will come home. I really miss him and look forward to see him again. I have bought him a big present and it's wrapped and under the tree. Oh, and Santa in the Faroes sent me lots of small packages!!!

Today, it's grandma's and grandad's wedding anniversary. They have been married for many, many many years. Congratulations!!!!

Bye Aunt Elsa

Today is a very sad day, because aunt Elsa went home. I really love my aunt and she really loves me too. She has been here for many days now and she came all the way over here just to play with me.
While she was here, I have had a great time. We have played a lot and specially hide and seek. We have watched airplanes fly by. We got the fireplace going when it was cold. We went to the zoo and also to all these stores. I got a lot of cars and teddybears. She always makes my favorite meal: Pasta and chicken. But the best part is all the kisses and cuddles she gave me - because she loves me so much. I really hope to see her again soon. I am going to save up for a flight ticket to go visit my aunt.

By the way, I am ill again today. I have been ill for 3 days now. I have a cold and have a runny nose, cough and have a fever. When I have a cold, I have a hard time breathing and the doctor gave me this device to breath in and it helps a little. The best medication is lots of love and cuddles... oh, and if I get to go outside for a little while, I am cured

All kinds of things

Hi again,

Ok, I don't know where to start, because I have so much to tell you. We have been busy . I guess I can start with an old photo when I was little and still had hair. I am wearing a neat sports sweater from a local Faroese handball team and also some really cool puma sneakers. I got all these from my godmother Jenny. The only problem with this photo is the pacifier - it does make me a little less cool. But I still love my pacifier. When I can't find my own pacifier, I'll steal Elmo's. It's a little plastic pacifier that Elmo holds on to... it's still better than nothing.

My aunt says that I need to stop using the pacifier. First of all, big boys don't use the pacifier and secondly, then there is a good chance I may end up looking like this: (horror, I am really trying to quit now!!)
I found a friend to play with outside. There is this cat that likes to hang out around our house. I think it may be because I like to share my crackers with her. She doesn't like the cheese crackers though. Ihave to force them in to the cats mouth. But the cat is really nice and always asks to be pet.
And she loves to be pet on her tummy.
Pasta..mmmmmmm. I love pasta. The pasta screws are the best, then there are the angel hair, pasta wheels, pasta shells, pasta and ketchup, terryaki pasta, pesto pasta,... I can keep going. Oh, ofcourse, I always end up in the bathtub afterwards.
Yesterday, we got our christmas tree from Lowes. This is a real tree, a noble fir and now our house smells like christmas. We have also decorated the house and have the fire going every night. I helped out decorating the tree and I put start, bows and small presents on the tree. There were two or three branhces that got really decorated. I was not pleased with some of the decorations that aunt Elsa and mom had put up on the tree, so I decided to move them. I think I have to show them how to decorate a tree.

When the tree was done, it was my turn. I ended up looking very christmassy
When I was decorated, I stood next to the tree and started singing christmas carrols. See for your selves!! I don't see why mom and dad need christmas decorations and music - they have me!!
Take care!!

Going to the Zoo

Hi,

I got to spend the night with grandma and grandad last night. I love spending the night at their house and this morning, we had pancakes for breakfast. When mom and aunt Elsa came to pick we up, we went to the zoo. The zoo is in the middle of Houston and is surrounded by all these tall buildings. The weather was a little chilly, but I was all bundled up. I was wearing the sweather, grandma made and every one stopped to tell me how cute I was. I can't help being so cute.

Anyways, there was a restaurant at the zoo and we stopped by for some food. I had french fries with ketchup. I loved it and I sat well mannered and dipped the fries into the ketchup. When I was full, I found it more interesting dipping my fingers and it ended up being little messy.

There was so much to see and do at the zoo - too much to see in one day's visit, specially, when i want to walk everywhere myself. We started at the Children's zoo and I got to feed the fish, geese and pidgeons. I also saw otters, racoons, birds, ducks and a lot of other animals.... I can't remember all of them, because there were so many.
I also got to pet the goats. They were in an enclosed area and I got to walk right in and play with them. They were sweet, brown, white and black. Afterwards, I had to wash my hands... I think that was my favourite moment of the day: I love to play with water.
There were other kids petting the goats and I played a little with them too.
After the children's zoo, we went to see the big animals. Again, there were all these kinds of animals, also elephants. They were soo big that mommy and I almost didn't fit on the picture.
Then there were the lions. This lion below is so big and dangerous that we had to watch from a distance or through a window. But I wasn't afraid. We also have cats around our house and I love to play with them. This one is just a little bigger. I wanted to get in and pet it so badly. I tried to climb the fence too.
Aunt Elsa pretended to be a lion and went: "grrrrrrrr", just like a lion. She wasn't dangerous at all.. just looked a litlte silly and I was really embarressed and tried to look away as if I didn't know her. What do you think? Does she look like a dangerous lion or just silly?
After the zoo, we headed over to the Galleria. It's so big and there are so many stores and people. I just wanted to be carried. They also have an ice skating rink in the middle of it all! Then we finally headed home. I was so tired at the end of the day that I fell asleep at 5.30 and slept for almost 12 hours straight.
This was a very good day and I hope to get to spend another night over at grandma's and granddad's soon... and also go to the zoo.

See you

Cold

Hi,

It's cold today and we're all in sweaters and cuddling under blankets. Winter may have arrived. The weather this morning was perfect and then all of a sudde, the temperature dropped and it's so cold now. This winter, I'll wear the woolen brown sweater and the one that grandma in the Faroes made me. Everyone says how cute I am when I have them on. But, see for yourselves: It's cold:
This evening, we got the fireplace going and it's so exciting to watch. I hope we'll do this more often.

Daycare and artwork

Hi,

There is not that much to write about today. I am in daycare today and busy playing with the other kids. I really like daycare and have lots of friends there. My best friends are John and Christian. We have been friends for a long time - ever since we were little boys. I also play with Brandon. He just started in daycare and does not walk yet. I try to teach him, because I am really good at walking. I can also sit still and eat. I am working on my table manners.
At daycare there is plenty to do. I usually get there shortly before 8am and make a straight line over to the breakfast table. On the menu are Cheerios, waffles or toast. After breakfast, we play until lunch. My favorite lunch is pasta and lasagna. After lunch, we nap. All this eating and playing is exhausting and we need to rest too. After nap, it's playtime again and later snack time. We play a lot of games such as: follow the leader, cards, puzzles, we sing and read stories too. When the day is over, I get to go home and I always wave bye. Sometimes I blow kisses too.
I love to color and this is my first piece of art. I sit really still and concentrate. Sometimes, I have to make sure the coloring pen also works on skin - it does!! But it does not taste all that well. It works on Aunts too!!

Li'l Dragon

After breakfast this morning, I wanted to help with the dishes, so I ended up in the sink next to the dishes. But I did help out and ended up cleaning my own cup. Oh, and I got a good cleaning too.
When I was done with my cup, I wanted to see if there was anything else that I could clean. The headset for our computer looked like it needed a good cleaning too, but I wasn't allowed to clean it.... Hey, I am just trying to help out!
When all the cleaning was done, I got dried with this big towel that is shaped like a dragon - or dinosaur, not sure. I got it from Cousin Mitchell and I love to wear it around the house. It's a little long still, but I'm growing fast. Mommy likes it, because it slows me down, when I walk around the house and look for trouble.
Oh, and also because I look so very cute in it!!

See ya
